♥ Dare to Dream ♥: 11/10

After the whole night suffering at Manchester airport, we left the entire luggage in the airport and out to town for the last short trip to achieve our to-buy list in the early morning! What a pity, coincidently there’s a protest in the city center and lots of shops closed down immediately! Around 4pm, we need to back to the airport and tidy the luggage, and sent Jasper and Chong Ming off to Sheffield. Really miss you guys badly, we had walked through a lot of countries in a month. Appreciate every single moment together with you guys, Chong Ming, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you in advance (15 October); I guess u will be in the flight back to Malaysia on your big day! (:

Our turn to left Europe and United Kingdom, heading to Dubai, United Arab Emirates! This country has consists of miracles, legends, awesome and incredible improvement along these years. With the small amount of population, lack of natural resources exclude petroleum and gold, people living in a very high standard of living and per capita income. We reached Dubai international airport at 7am and get prepare ourselves while waiting for Porky’s brother (Fenson) meet us up. Our hotel pretty nice and strategic location, two nights here cost us approximately AED960 (around USD $275). Once we left our luggage in the hotel, heading to the Deira city center for our brunch. The Metro just launched couple weeks ago, bear in mind, do not drink once u step into metro station, and pay attention to the seating arrangement in the train. There’s gold class passenger, woman & child and men should be separated! A lot of taboos here!!!! For example, cannot simply take photos anywhere and everywhere, just watch out! And, no alcohol and cigarette at the public, always in a proper outfit, this and that, so on and so forth.

Walked around the Old souk and museum, we were heading to the Dubai city center. Along the way, we saw the Emirates tower, Burj Dubai, all the hotels and apartments really cool, looks grand and it really will cost you a bomb! I love the building design and architecture here, lots of building still under construction, so, you shall grab a chance to Dubai here after few years! One thing, you’ll be melted at Dubai, although it is winter now, but the weather still very hot, almost reach 40C, o-h-m-y-g-o-d!!! All of us just came from Manchester which only around 10C, luckily our body immune system not bad, still can stand for the heat here. Everything here kinda expensive, the currency rate almost same as Malaysia, but all the cost and price of goods double up of Malaysia price. After that, we visited to the biggest shopping mall in Dubai – Dubai mall. We really need air-cond badly and fresh air. It is so dusty and dirty air outside, and super duper hot!!!!

One of the wonder of Dubai, The Palm, and the Atlantis hotel, finally we have the chance visit to this place. Hotel Atlantis, really cool and it’s huge, marvelous and awesome! There’s an underwater world in the hotel and of course, the room rate also pretty good. Not really expensive, just around AED18000. Okiez, another landmark of Dubai, also the most high class hotel in the world which rating seven stars – Burj Al Arab!! The night view here really nice, what a pity, we couldn’t pay there a visit unless you spend at least AED200 here. You can enjoy all the beautiful scene of Dubai if you have a car here, especially night view, it’s wonderful and awesome!!!

Back to our hotel, it’s around 12am, and I tell you people, the last shower we took – 6am, 9October, and there’s more than 60hours we all never take bath!! Sound disgusting right?! From the time we check out from Vienna hotel until Prague, Manchester and now Dubai! All our photos at Dubai in the mess and dirty look! What a backpack’s life…
