We arrived at KKIA about 11.30am, it's time to have our early lunch before we proceed with our schedule. Thanks Ah Rock took us a ride from airport and brought us to try the famous local food - Ngiu Zap (牛杂) ! For your information, Ngiu Zap is like a famous symbolic food at KK, no doubt you can see a lots of kopitiam or restaurant selling this. Well, a bit shocked when we saw the food's price on the board. One bowl of Ngiu Zap noodle, for individual set will cost you about RM9.50. Isn't it bloody expensive?! The taste is quite nice, but for my personal preference, I prefer Tangkak Ngiu Zap.
Well, we got the rented car from Ah Rock, slightly wash up, pump the petrol and buy some drinks and junk food, here we go, to Kundasang! It takes about 2.5 hours from Apit town to Kundasang, about 100km. Well, there's no highway like PLUS, yet, road condition ain't as bad as Cameron Highlands. Chit-chatting and concentrate along the journey, thanks to the GPS, a real great invention and contribution to everyone. We rented the car for only RM70/day for a Kelisa model (850cc). Well, the normal market price for Kelisa is RM120/day. We really got a real good offer from Ah Rock's friend. You can see Nabalu fruits and handicraft market on the half way to Kundasang. We reserved a room at Kinabalu Pine Resort, about 5 mins drive after the Kinabalu Park. Its strategic location facing to the Mount Kinabalu exactly. I love this place, a pretty nice resort. We took a nap after checked-in, hide under a really comfy and cozy comforter. Oh yea, our dinner provided by the resort, RM180/night inclusive tax, breakfast and dinners. Well, please take note, it's a bit difficult to get out at night due to the heavy haze and most of the shops will closed very early. Unlike Cameron Highlands, at least there's lots of options of you such as steamboat, fast food, etc. The dinner not-that-bad, 4 dishes with 1 soup.
A freaking cold peace night. Good night =)
East Malaysia got their own newspapers, lottery associations, even electrical supply and etc.
The best Ngiu Zap in town - ''Kah Hiong Ngiu Chap 家乡牛杂"
So-called the best resort at Kundasang - Kinabalu Pine resort! I love the scenery here ^^
